This house in Amsterdam East has been expanded with an extension in the backyard. The extension allowed for a redesign of the layout, so that the living area is now facing the garden instead of the street. The large sliding glass doors create an optimal connection between the garden and the kitchen. Furthermore, the skylight in the extension brings in a tremendous amount of additional light. The kitchen is the showpiece of the house, with the kitchen island and dining table flowing seamlessly into one. This saves space and creates a sense of unity. A unique design using stone strips was used to finish the exterior facade. Combined with the light Accoya window frames, this creates an authentic look with a modern twist.
